Capstone Blog — Review a Classmate’s Project

My Selection

I have chosen to review my classmate Nick Maeda’s capstone project. His project is to create a dining experience that also educates people about exotic birds.

Project Goals

Nick’s project goals are to create a dining and shopping experience by making posters, logos, and magazines.

The Big Questions

The question I will be talking about is: Why did I choose their project to review? Why is it a good project for them? What suggestions do I have for them?

I chose Nick’s project because I am an animal lover and have experience with birds, mainly as a 3-year junior volunteer for the World Bird Sancuary. This project is excellent for Nick because Nick shows a deep passion for birds and making a dining experience revolving around them. Capstone requires some drive as it’s an extensive project to take on and requires many months of production. Knowing this, I can see Nick going even beyond the capstone turn-in date to continue to innovate and expand his project. Lastly, my only suggestion would be to make sure the bird interaction experience does get represented. When crafting all the graphic essentials, I want to see how Nick will incorporate the interactive knowledge and the dining experience.
