Capstone Blog — Weekly Recap

“What is Capstone? Week 1 recap and introduction to capstone.”

This week, I have selected my idea, which will be making a font that covers the entire English alphabet and base punctuations. I am excited about this project, and I know my project can expand beyond capstone. Shortly, additions to the capstone phase would be unnecessary as what I have planned already is more than achievable and represent my overall goal. For the next few weeks, my task will include finishing the design of my font and starting testing combinations to make the necessary adjustments before the implementation phase.

Since the start of the capstone, I have learned quite a bit from readings, team activities, research, and discussions with my peers and teacher. The most impactful learning experiences have been learning what I can do to have a successful capstone from my professor’s conversations, learned from my competition, and past examples of my project in the world to have an even more impactful project. I learned about the importance of making clear unusual ideas and how to make them stick and be remembered.
